Hostile and Intimidating Behavior (HIB) Policy and training opportunities are available. HIB Behavior is prohibited by university policy (policies linked here: Faculty, Academic Staff, and University Staff). Campus has a website dedicated to HIB: https://hr.wisc.edu/hib/ that provides helpful resources to respond or prevent HIB from happening. It is important to recognize this unwelcome behavior to provide a safe and healthy environment for everyone that furthers the University’s mission.

All employees are encouraged to participate in training to help identify cases of what is or is not HIB. Visit https://hr.wisc.edu/hib/training/ to sign up for upcoming trainings and share with your employees and supervisors.
